Venezia review
Jul 8th, 2008, 8:25pm

For some years Marie-Louise - my lovely kind wife - went to Venice to help visiting English schools with local administration, largely because of her contacts and her fluency in Italian. She loves Venice. This year she took me as a prelude to my 75th birthday. I can honestly say that my holiday there was an eye opener, I just fell in love with everything I saw, and I vowed I'd go back one day sooner than soon.

The people who built VENICE need to be remembered for their skill, the builders and engineers, the artists and sculptors and the people themselves who over the years have built and maintained VENICE to its present glory.

Juliette Pochin has encapsulated the magic of Venice into another medium - her music and her style and her excellence - that brings me such joy. Juliette is sheer magic, and I thank her for briliance in all she does.

Venice and Juliette; an undying duet.

Love from Marie-Louise and John

Hi John,
          very nicely put Smiley
All you need is a portable CD player in  Gondola with Venezia playing and all would be well. Better still Juliette singing from the Rialto Bridge!
Seriously, thanks for your post and I am sure you will continue to enjoy "Venezia" for a long time to come,
Best wishes to you both

I love Venezia so much, i seriously need to get a new copy because the one i have has gone everywhere with me and is starting to be a bit worsr for wear! when i went to Italy with the choir we went on a day trip to Venice and i listened to 'Venezia' on the boat on the way there, it was very atmospheric although when you are in public you can't really tunelessly hum along (which is what i generally do when i listen to Juliette's cd's!)

I hope you took a Gondola with a suitably handsome Gondolier Cheesy

My favourite track was Ave Maria but i'm possibly more inclined to think of 'Sposa Non Disprezzata' (i hope thats spelt right  Smiley) or maybe 'Sweetest Love' on the Itunes extended version of Venezia as my favourite these days...
I don't think i could ever get bored of listening to Venezia  Smiley
When is Juliette's next full length album out?
